Ms. Beach has been lead appellate counsel in over 50 cases in the Michigan state and federal courts, including two oral arguments before the Michigan Supreme Court. She has obtained interlocutory review in over 60% of her applications for leave to appeal to the Court of Appeals, reflecting her skill in persuading the Court of the need for immediate appellate review of critical issues.
Ms. Beach started her appellate career at Duke University School of Law, where her moot court team was named National Champion at the 2011 ABA Appellate Advocacy Competition. She developed her practice as part of the appellate group at one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms. She was recruited in 2019 to lead the appellate department of another large Michigan defense firm, before joining NMDB in 2021 as the chair of its appellate department. Ms. Beach comes from a family of medical providers and is passionate about defending the excellent care provided by Michigan’s healthcare heroes.

Practice Areas
Ms. Beach’s appellate practice focuses on medical malpractice appeals, but also includes attorney malpractice, products liability, no-fault, commercial litigation, real property, general liability, civil rights, municipal liability, accounting malpractice, and family law. She has experience litigating post-trial motions and appeals of multi-million dollar over-limits verdicts, including appellate stays and bonds, and settlement negotiations.
